‘Be My Neighbor Day’ is a daylong celebration for families, supported by PNC Grow Up Great®, featuring tiger-tastic activities that focus on being a caring neighbor to people and wildlife! Join Daniel Tiger of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood for hands-on learning activities, performances by StoneLion Puppet Theatre and more. Bring a canned good or a sweater to share with someone in need.
Attendees will receive a passport encouraging them to participate in activities including making wildflower seed balls for neighbors, creating leaf rubbing cards to distribute through KC for Refugees, making kindness rocks with Kids for Vets, and puppet making as part of PNC Grow Up Great, as well as activities led by Initiative PB & J and Science City at Union Station.
The day’s schedule of activities includes the Discovery Center’s Nature Nuts Storytelling (9 a.m., 11 a.m., and 1 p.m.), music from Mr. Stinky Feet (10:30 a.m.), Let’s Read with Literacy KC (11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.) and a performance of the “The Little Red Hen’s Garden” by the Stone Lion Puppet Theatre (2 p.m.).
Tell us how many are in your group by RSVPing, and we’ll register you to win a PBS Kids Playtime Pad! You can also add on a prescheduled time for your group or family to meet Daniel Tiger (one per group)! No add-on tickets left? We will accommodate walk-ups to the best of our ability throughout the day!
