The Kansas City PBS Stem Television Spot Contest is open to students in grades 6-12 in the Kansas City Metropolitan area. The contest asks students to create a script for a 30 second television spot to air on Kansas City PBS illustrating a STEM science experiment for children ages 2-8.
This contest is an opportunity for students to practice creating a script for a television spot. In this spot, the student will be highlighting a STEM science experiment for children ages 2-8. This contest merges art, science, video production and youth voice all into one fun project! The contest winner will receive a tour of the Kansas City PBS studios and assist in creating the spot alongside the Kansas City PBS production team.
The winners’ television spot will be produced by the Kansas City PBS Production Team Summer 2021 and aired Fall 2021 on Kansas City PBS Kids, Channel 19.4.
